I have enjoyed the Bookers, but they consistently are ranked lower than the Pulitzers. I've yet to read a dud and have discovered some wonderful writers as a result (Lahiri, Brooks, Russo, and on and on and on). In fact, I 'm just reading Russo's latest, 'Bridge of Sighs' and picked up the new Brooks yesterday from the library. The Russo is superb and I've heard great things about the Brooks yet I would have read neither without the Pulitzer.
