…a new blog called Women Writers.
For a long time, I’ve thought about creating a focused blog celebrating some of the best (and newest) female voices in literature. I’ve been enthralled by The Orange Prize which recognizes women writers…and this just seemed to be a natural extension of my reading of the Orange Prize nominees and winners.
I envision a blog which not only profiles women writers who have won (or been nominated) for awards, but also recognizes some of the best of debut women authors. I plan on posting not only reviews of books by wonderful women writers and their profiles, but hope to lure some of them to provide guest posts about their thoughts on writing, women in literature and a host of other topics. I also want to explore issues effecting women writers throughout the world.
My new blog is in its very early stages of development – so I hope you will come back often to visit me there. Caribousmom will continue to serve as my “main” blog where I will post all my reviews and challenges, and general posts about books.
