Weekly Geeks – September 20, 2008

I’ve been seriously remiss in participating in Dewey’s Weekly Geeks event. But this weekend, I have a little time … and the task we are challenged to complete is exactly what I need to do. Dewey writes:

This week’s theme is: catch up on… something.

1. Decide what you need to catch up on.

2. Write a post if you feel like it, telling your readers what you intend to catch up on. If you do that, you can sign Mr Linky right away with the link to that specific post.

3. Catch up!

4. Write a post near the end of the week (Thursday or Friday) summarizing how your catch-up week went. If you didn’t sign Mr Linky with your intentions post, sign it with your summary post.

5. Don’t forget to visit other Weekly Geeks and encourage them in their catching up!

I’m behind in several things. Here is what I intend to catch up on this week:

  • Post new challenges and events to my blog A Novel Challenge (by Sunday, September 21, 2008)
  • Update my lists and post new reviews to my blog The Lists: Books for the Obsessive Reader
  • Update my to-read plan through the end of the year (noting which books must be read for challenges and book discussion groups); determine which challenges I can actually expect to finish and opt out of those which are just not going to get done.
  • Re-organize my TBR Mountain
  • Post an article (or two) to my new blog Women Writers
  • Update my sidebars for my blog Women Writers

This should keep me busy most of the week!

  1. Well that’s an ambitious list! When Laurie made a to-do list for her vacation, I added to it: “Have fun.” So don’t forget that piece, too!

  2. Joanne says:

Wow that is quite the list! I mainly need to get some old reviews done, but I would also love to re-organize my TBR shelf (it’s beginning to scare me) lol.

Best of luck with your catch-up :)

  3. Typ0 says:

Wow! How many blogs do you maintain?! I’m tres impressed. :) :) Between a real life, job, reading, and reviewing how do you find the time?!

Good luck on your to do list. :)

  4. Jill says:

I seriously need to evaluate my challenge commitments that end in December and see which ones I can really obtain. Good luck with your endeavor!

    =) Jill

Hi, I found your blog on this new directory of WordPress Blogs at blackhatbootcamp.com/listofwordpressblogs. I dont know how your blog came up, must have been a typo, i duno. Anyways, I just clicked it and here I am. Your blog looks good. Have a nice day. James.

  6. Vasilly says:

Go, Wendy! I see that you’re already getting caught up on ANovelChallenge’s blog. Have a good week!

  7. Callista says:

That’s quite a list! I’ll be sure to check back to see how you did. Good luck!

Terri: I will have a lot of fun when I get to sit on my bedroom floor and go through my stacks…it may be organizing, but I love “remembering” what I have in there!

Joanne: I know what you mean about the TBR mountain getting scary!! *laughs*

Typ0: I maintain far too many – and it is quite a juggling act. I have no idea how I do it…except that I love to write and read and so the blogs are actually my “down” time!

    Thanks Jill!

James: Glad you found me…hope you’ll come back again.

Vasilly: Thanks for the cheerleading!! You have a good week as well :)

Callista: Thanks for the good wishes – If I get at least half those things done I’ll feel good!
