It’s Monday and time to share what arrived in your mailbox this week!
Bedlam South, by Mark Grisham and David Donaldson. Due for release October 1st through Borders Press, the book is an historical novel set during the Civil War. I received an email from Penny at Author Marketing Exports, Inc and after learning that a significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book will go to help Impact Missions (a non profit that aids needy and neglected children and families), I agreed to read and review this one. To learn more about this book, visit the website.

Ooo–a historical fiction novel set in the Civil War–my favorite! I’m really looking forward to reading your review of this one. I recently purchased Sweetsmoke because of your review!
Laura: Hope you enjoy Sweetsmoke! I will be reading and reviewing Bedlam South in the next month or so (I hope!)
Oooh, Bedlam South looks good! I may have to request a copy of it myself.
That looks like a good one! Look forward to your review!
Sounds promising–I’ll look forward to your review!

Amy and Cathy: Will keep you posted!
I’ve been seeing and hearing about a lot of historical fiction set against this backdrop lately. Not a bad trend!
I really like the cover of this one, too, Wendy.
A few years ago I read Enemy Women by Paulette Giles which was set in southern MO during the Civil War – if you’re a fan of this time period, check it out. It was very good.
This book looks interesting, I will have to check it out. I received Sweetsmoke in the mail yesterday and I think it was a review on this blog that brought it to my attention, so I look forward to reading it!
This one went straight to top of my ‘have to have it’ book list. I love historical fiction set in or around the Civil War.
Shana: Thanks for the recommendation…I have actually picked up that Giles book several times (the cover always pulls me in!) but haven’t bought it yet…perhaps I’ll need to do that!
Kailana: Oh, you’ll love Sweetsmoke, I think. I’ll look forward to reading your review!
Marcia: Glad I was able to tempt you
