Reading and Blogging for Darfur

Natasha over at Mawbooks has done a remarkable thing – she had a month long reading and blogging for Darfur event (you can see the final numbers here) and is now doing a final giveaway. Her event not only raised awareness of the Darfur tragedy, but it is still raising money to help the people over there.

I had intended to participate more fully in this event – but September was crazy and got away from me.  If you are like me, it is still not too late to contribute. Go to Natasha’s wrap-up post and see how you can donate money to this worthy cause. I’ve decided to sponsor Natasha for BOTH number of pages read AND number of posts written for a total of $85.05. Natasha gives a list of charities which help this cause.

  1. Thanks Wendy for your awesome contribution! Don’t feel bad about not being able to participate more. I was really happy with the results!

It really is a remarkable thing she’s done. I would like to get involved in something similar the next time around (when my own cash flow is a little more…positive). 😉 Good for you for jumping in to help the cause.

You are very welcome, Natasha…you should be thrilled with how this fundraiser came out; what a lot of work for such a worthy cause!

    Andi: I agree – remarkable.
