I cried like a baby as he spoke last night. i got chills, when i saw the spontaneous crowds in NYC and Washington.
and yet, i got an awful *.wav file from a friend,it was Imus saying awful things about him and the people of Harlem.
my heart tore a little but i will not allow that to slow down my increase in civic duty, in fact it will just hasten it!
People came up to my friend on the streets of Cairo yesterday saying, “Go Obama!” and “Congratulations!” This win is being celebrated by more than just americans.
Verbatim: I agree – I also cried and still feel the tears well up when I think of the hope which lies in front of us now.
Lexi: Gorgeous family – inside and out.
Tish: His speech was wonderful. I don’t know why some people have to be doomsayers and be so nasty. I have really no patience these days for that behavior…when I hear it, I simply walk away. If we are to really make change in this country, we need to stop judging everyone and unite…Obama has it right and I hope ALL people will eventually get on board.
Typ0: Isn’t it amazing how this is impacting people all over the world? It truly is a moment in history which is unique.
I’m still “high” from Tuesday night! I can’t wait until January 20th and cringing about how much more damage Bush/Cheney can do in a short amount of time.

It was an amazing night, wasn’t it?
What a beautiful moment for our country. Sometimes it seems like they’re so few and far between. I shed more than a few tears last night.
They are such a beautiful family. I’m so glad things turned out the way they did!
