Mailbox Monday – January 5, 2009

mailboxmonday Happy Monday Morning! What arrived in YOUR mailbox this week? Mine was not as busy as other weeks, but I’m not complaining. Matthew Boyd from the Penguin Group sent me a Uncorrected Proof of this book

schoolofessentialingredients The School of Essential Ingredients, by Erica Bauermeister.  The back cover reads: ‘A gorgously written first novel about the evocative lessons that food can teach us about life.‘ I love food. I love cooking. I hope I will love this novel. Thanks, Matthew!

Amy: I’ll also look forward to reading YOUR thoughts :)

Bonnie: Oh, I’m sorry you didn’t get a copy :(

Kailana: It is never too late :)

Kathy: *laughs* yes, you could say that!

Callista: I am trying not to join too many challenges this year. I have so many books on my piles that fit just about every challenge – but it is the organizing of them that overwhelmed me in 2008 (stop tempting me!!!)

Staci: *laughs* yes, all the same reasons I said YES when asked if I wanted a copy!

Darlene: Oh, so glad you liked it!

Carrie: And another person who loved it!

Sandra: I love foodie books :)

  11. Hmm, I’m jealous you got that book! (I requested it too, but only got a consolation email from Matthew.) Looking forward to your review!
