Fun with Statistics…

Many thanks to all of you who stop by to visit me at Caribousmom!!

Do you love to look at your blog stats? I love cruising around to see who comes to visit and from how far away. Today I was doing just that and thought you might want to see some of the stats that get me excited. Here is a graph, along with the actual numbers of visitors to my blog over the last year. I was a little surprised to see the jump in the numbers beginning in January (although there seems to be a steady upward trend since about September).

It was not surprising to see most of my visitors were from the United States, followed by Canada. But Romania and Bahrain both got 1% of the total – and that was a little surprising!

I think we all love looking at and analyzing stats. I love the way you put yours in graphs.

Beautiful graphs Wendy! I love ‘em!

Kathy: I actually didn’t create the graphs – my stat counter (which is Site Meter) automatically generates them and I just copied them to my blog!

Laura; *laughing* When I posted this, Kip said “Laura will love it.” Does he know you or what!?!?

I just changed my blog from Blogger to WordPress. Before then I didn’t know how to look at stats. I think I’m going to still try not to. It might depress me to see that no one came and visit my blog on somedays. Am I depressing? =) Your graphics are beautiful!

  5. Kailana says:

Wow, Canada has a whole 9 percent. We are taking over the blogosphere. lol! I like the graphs and charts, though. No idea how to do that myself, but that’s not a surprise! Untechno me.

I also love looking at my stats thought not anywhere near as good as yours. I have seen a sharp increase of visitors though.

  8. I do love my stats! I’ve mellowed out though and only look at them once a week now. I was seeing a really nice incline of visits but I’ve leveled out for the last six months. And that makes me so, so sad! I’m trying to break the cycle.

  9. I love statistics! Blogging is really good in that the more posts you have, the more visitors you will get – so they improve every day! It’s always a good way to cheer yourself up!

  10. I’m impressed with your 1% from Bahrain! Do you know who they are, or which post they were visiting?

  11. Diane says:

What wonderful graphs. There are so many people people, like me, who just love visiting your blog.

  12. wherever do you find these statistics?

  13. Caribousmom says:

Vasilly: I think you’d be surprised at how many people drop by (and no, you are not depressing!)

Kailana: I didn’t create the graphs – my stat counter does it for me.

    Irish: Thanks!

Teddy: Glad to hear your numbers are also increasing. I’d love to know why the big rise at the first of the year.

Natasha: I am sure your stats are WONDERFUL! You have such a fun blog :)

    Jackie: I agree!

Diane: Thank you – that is a very kind thing for you to say!

Serena: I use Site Meter…you just install it on your blog and it gives you TONS of information about your visitors.

  14. Isabel says:

    Congrats!

Keep up the great reading and reviewing.

  15. chartroose says:

Wow, this is cool! Bahrain of all places…

  16. Caribousmom says:

Thanks, Isabel! It has been a challenge this week – I have been outrageously busy!!

Chartroose: I know – can you believe such a high percent for someplace like Bahrain?!?!? I didn’t even know where it was on the map *laughs*
