We have had an interesting couple of days in our household. Argus has been a very, very patient big brother. Raven loves Argus. She follows him around and whatever he does, she also does. She wants to be near him, touching him, chewing on him…in essence, driving the poor boy crazy. But despite all of her antics, Argus has remained gentle, albeit annoyed. Below are some photos of them interacting (click on any photo to enjoy a larger image):
Nose to Nose
A reminder: “This is MY stick.”
Parallel Play: “If you have a stick, maybe I’ll get one too!”
Tug…Sometimes sticks are okay to share…
“I love my big brother…”
“…especially when he lets me sleep RIGHT next to him and touch him with my paws.”

Adorable! I love these shots! Looks like they are both getting along well.
Sounds exactly like my Zacarias with his older brother and sister
He drives them crazy, but they’re so gentle and patient!
They are so cute together!
Oh… so sweet. It reminds me of when we brought Claire home and she pestered the heck out of Tori! I’m loving these posts. I feel so connected. Keep them coming!
Just beautiful Wendy. I can almost hear Argus sighing heavily. Raven is so CUTE lying next to her big brother. Hope you get some sleep soon.
They are precious! I love the picture where they both have a stick.
They are absolutely sweet together. I can just imagine the wars over sticks (that happens in our house, too)
Wendy>> these are so precious. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Aw, such sweet pictures! It sounds like she’s settling in nicely. What a bittersweet time this must be for you.
SO SO CUTE!
Wendy and Kip: Too cute! One of those photos reminds me of that one of Caribou when she had that big stick in her mouth and she was so little! Argus looks like he loves his new little sister and vice versa! How are Maia and Giz doing taking all of this?!
Gorgeous.
How wonderful to have a new puppy in the house.
These pictures are SO adorable! Thanks so much for letting us in on this part of your life, Wendy.
Awww, they are too cute together!
Impossibly cute! I’m glad they’re getting along!
Raven’s Mommy won an award at A Novel Menagerie today! And, I highlighted a picture of Raven. She’s so cute, Wendy!

aaaaaaahhhhh – How cute
The last picture you can almost imagine Argus saying “Is she finally asleep? help me!” LOL!
looks like they are settling in nicely
That is so sweet. Looks like Argus is being very patient with his new little sibling!
Aaaah, how sweet. I bet Argus is happy to have a new friend even though she’s drving him crazy. I like where he’s trying to hide from him behind the cabinet and yet she still manages to sleep by him and touch him. Too cute!
How sweet. The youngster is driving him nuts yet he’s so patient with her. Too cute.
Absolutely adorable. I love every single photo!!
Thanks for sharing! Your two dogs are so cute
Good boy, Argus!
They are so adorble together! Maybe Argus can teach Raven how to sllep at night so mommy and daddy can get some sleep.
Keep the baby picture coming, I want to watch Raven grow up.(Not too fast though).
Serena: Thanks! They are doing better than I thought they would (I knew Raven would love Argus, but wasn’t so sure how he would feel about her!).
Nymeth: It is nice when it works out like that
Vasilly: Thanks
Sheri: I think I downloaded 93 photos the day I snapped these! So, you will see more – promise!
Terri: Sleep continues to be a bit evasive! Today will be interesting since I have to work and Raven is coming with me (in the crate) so I can give her some breaks between patients. She hates the crate…
Kathy: I like that one too
Laura: Argus adores his sticks and does not like to share them…we supervise closely out there
Diane: You’re welcome!
Ali: It is mostly sweet these days…I of course miss my Bou, and seeing Raven reminds me so much of her. I wish so much she was here to help raise Raven…she would have loved it (and so would I!).
Thanks, Jill!
Carol and Gregg: Maia and Giz HATE Raven. But the have also figured out that we stop her from chasing them…so now they are tormenting her by walking up to within 3 feet and just sitting there. It drives Raven crazy!
Kim: It is mostly wonderful – except at 4:00am when she wakes up and wants to play!
Heather: It is really fun to share with all of you – I’m glad you are enjoying the photos!
Thanks Megan!
Amy:
Sheri: Thanks again
Sally: That may be too kind *laughs* I think she exhausts him!
Jeane: Yes, he’s been a good boy!
Darlene: He can never escape! *laughs* Every now and then when she comes up to him he wags his tail and smiles, so I think he likes her.
Lisa: Patience IS a virtue!
Les: Thanks!
Samantha: You’re welcome, and thank you!
Cheryl: My words exactly!
Teddy: I would LOVE it if he would do that!!!
I love how his eyebrows (?) make him look like I feel after answering “Why does ______ do _____?” for the 9 millionth time. (Insert anything in those blanks, it doesn’t have to make sense.)
So lovely – great pictures – they look so cute together.
Argus looks very patient…I know our Amy was the same when we brought Spike into the house.
What a precious little bug–and how lucky she is to come into such a loving household.
Lisa: *laughs* Argus has VERY expressive eyebrows!!
Lynda: Thanks
Trish: she is a precious little bug – I love her more every day!
