In the News…

A little over a week ago, a reporter from our local newspaper contacted me. With all the buzz about President Obama’s new dog, they were doing a story on what it’s like to get a new puppy. The reporter came out to the house to meet me and Raven and we chatted for a little over 30 minutes. Today the piece was published. You can read it here!

Great article! Raven’s lucky to have found such a good home.

  2. That was a great article Wendy. Also, I would agree with you that puppies are a ton of work. :)

  3. Les in NE says:

Great article! I’ve passed it on to my brother. They just got a golden puppy last week.

  4. Darlene says:

Great article! They are a lot of work but they are so worth it!!!

Really good article and he picked great quotes from you too! Looks like little Raven has been published for the first time !

  7. Jessica says:

That’s so cool. I just got a puppy in February. The time commitment is crazy, but so worth it.

Kathy: I hope Raven feels that way :) Sometimes I wonder when I make her do something she’d rather not do (like STOP chasing those cats!!!) LOL!

Amy: Thanks – yes, more work than fun for the first few months!

Les: Golden puppies are so adorable – but they LOVE to chew, chew, chew. Tell your brother to buy LOTS of chew toys if he values his furniture and rugs!!

Darlene: I agree – totally worth it!

    Sheri: Thanks so much!

Paula: I was pretty happy with the article :) Yes, Raven is not “famous” LOL

Jessica: I think a lot of people have no idea about the initial time commitment with a puppy. But they are wonderful (especially when they are asleep *laughs*)

Congrats! Great article. It is so much work having a puppy. I remember all that my friend went through when he got his puppy. It’s god that yo stress that it’s the owner responsibility to train the puppy into a great dog.

Nicole: Thanks! It IS a lot of work! And I think most people who have gone through it, realize the work it entails. It is the first time puppy owners that often don’t understand that cuteness doesn’t quite take the place of hard training!
