I’ve never heard of this book before but the topic is fascinating to me. I know that there is so much more to Islam than what is portrayed in the media and I love reading books like this to learn more about the faith. I also find the roles of women in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, etc. to be intriguing – they often demonstrate such resilience and courage in spite of adversity and repression. I would love to read this book and would definitely pass it along and log where I am.

I will definitely pass this book on when I am done reading. I would love to win it because I realize that I do not understand much about Islam and the Middle Eastern cultures, so I think this would open my eyes to a new world.

I would love this. I like books about women in countries where they suffer under oppression and they fight to overcome it. There are a lot of amazingly strong and courageous women.

This looks like a really interesting novel. I am taking part in the Orbis-Terrarum challenge 2009 hosted by Bethany this year and I love to read books from different countries to learn about their cultures and way of life. I have never read anything about Iraq and would love to read this novel as part of the challenge. I agree to pass this along to another reader!
