Thanks to everyone for stopping in and saying hello – glad you all enjoyed the interview and also glad I was able to point some of you to this great blogger! I should also mention…the $1000 bookstore question was not one I came up with on my own. I viewed the interviews from last year and snagged this from someone else (I wish I had thought to note the blogger who asked it!)…so I cannot take credit for this question I thought it was so good, I had to use it!!

Hi Valerie!

Ancient Rome IS a fascinating subject! Have you read Michelle Moran’s newest book, Cleopatra’s Daughter? I’ve heard it is excellent, and most of the action takes place in Rome.

I do hope that you can overcome your shyness and get more involved in commenting. It is such a joy to discuss books with people who love them as much as we ourselves do – I’d hate for you to miss out on that! Come on over to my blog and say hello – I promise I won’t bite.

I’ve been reading Valorie’s blog for a while, so it was nice to get to know her a bit more. I’m also too shy to talk to strangers about books, but I’ve encountered a lot of people on the train who will see what I’m reading and ask about it.

Great interview! I wish someone would give me a $1000 gift card to a gift store! My son’s a senior in college and says he has no time for pleasure reading right now, so I know how she feels.
