RR: I should finish Love Medicine tonight…it is a beautiful book on many levels. Erdrich’s writing is so magical and poetic.

I’ve had Louise Erdrich on my TBR list for a long time. You’ve inspired me to hit the library today and pick up a copy of Love Medicine. ( I always like to start at the beginning when I set out to read a particular author.)

I’ve been reading Erdrich’s stories in The Red Convertible and am looking forward to trying one of her novels soon. Love Medicine has been recommended by a couple of different friends. Will be curious to hear what you think. Have a good week, Wendy!

Hi Wendy! I hope you like Love Medicine. That series is one of my very favorites. I’ve added Sometimes we’re always real same-same to my stack of books for the read-a-thon. It will be interesting to see how I deal with Roesch’s writing style. Have a great week.

What high praise for City of Refuge. I must add it to my list. Wendy, I hope you enjoy Erdrich. I loved: Master Butcher’s Singing Club, and Plague of Doves. I do own about 3 others of hers, but still unread.

I have Love Medicine on my shelves somewhere, so I’ll be curious to see what you have to say about that one. I didn’t love The Beet Queen, but I did love her Master Butchers Singing Club, so it could go either way for me, I suppose.
