This update covers hours nine and ten of the Read-A-Thon (1:00 pm to 3:00 pm PST).
How I am feeling at this point in the Event: A bit sleepy…but I have almost finished a book and am ready to start another one during the next two hours.
And of course some mini-challenges for this time period:
Who Keeps You Company – my buddies are posted here.
And then I decided to do my own mini-challenge (Collection Obsession)…I collect a lot of stuff it seems, so narrowed it down to these:
Glassware, especially from the Depression era
My vast and growing stash of fabric…below are some recent (favorite) purchases
Left to Right, Top to Bottom: Amy Butler’s newest collection Love; Anna Maria Horner’s collection Good Folks; 100% organic fabric by Cloud 9; Alexander Henry spotted owl (click on any photo to enlarge)

My sister collects the pink depression era glassware, too and I always have fun looking for new pieces for her. I love to look at fabric when I got into the store but have never bought anything other than what I need right then. Probably because I sew so rarely that the chances of me ever using some I bought just because I liked it would be nil!
I’m popping by again to offer some more cheering! Give me an R! Give me an E! Give me an A! Give me a D! What does that spell?! Read! Read! Read!
Loved seeing all your collections!
Looks like you have been busy, busy ,busy!!! Great progress!!! I, too, am a fabric fanatic!!! =)) You forgot a collection…your books!!! lol…happy reading, Im waving my pom poms for you!!! You’re doing great! Keep it up!!! i love how you’ve charted out your progress and stuff! That is so awesome!
You’re doing great! The Girl She Used to Be is perfect for the read-a-thon.
Lisa: Well, if I was a little more disciplined, I would not hoard so much fabric. But I just cannot resist it!!
Eva: Wonderful cheer – thanks!!! It helped
Shannon: Oh, the book collection goes without saying! Fabric is so fun, isn’t it?
Kathy: Thanks! And I agree – Cristofano’s book was perfect for this event!
