This update covers hours nineteen and twenty of the Read-A-Thon (11:00 pm to 1:00 am PST).

How I am feeling at this point in the Event:Well so much for my second wind…I’m falling asleep. Barely made it through this last 30 minutes. I reached my goal to get through hour 20, and I’m packing it in. Will post a summary post tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who helped with the event!

Mini Challenges during this Time Period:

From the Hungry Readers:

Your mission, which you MUST accept, is to turn to page 23 of the book you’re currently reading (or the nearest page with text on it) and find the most entertaining phrase to complete the following sentence: “I would rather read than _____________ any night!”

I would rather read than camp on the roof any night!  T- From page 23 of The Cradle by Patrick Somerville -

Yay, Wendy!! You had a super read-a-thon. You participated in way more challenges than I did. I packed it in around 11:30 central time. Wish I could’ve stayed awake longer, but I was beat and didn’t want the details of my book to become a blur. Next time around, I’ll take a shower late at night when I’m getting sleepy. That always perks me up.

Off to read all of your posts. I wasn’t a very good blog-hopper yesterday.
