The Last Surgeon by Michael Palmer
Fiction: St. Martin’s Press
ISBN #978-0-312-58749-9
384 pages
Release Date: February 16, 2010

Many thanks to Michael Palmer for offering this giveaway of his newest novel. The winner will receive an autographed copy of The Last Surgeon which will ship directly from the author. I will be reading and reviewing this book sometime in January, so I hope you’ll come back then to see what I thought of it.

About the Book:

A terrifying tale of Army trauma surgeon Captain Nick Garrity who is suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSD) after a suicide bomber killed everyone in his Afgahanistan field hospital except Nick and his best friend Umberto. Nick now works on a mobile medical van caring for vets and the homeless in D.C. When Umberto, whose PTSD is even more virulent than Nick’s, disappears, Nick is brought into the crosshairs of brilliant psychopath Franz Koller, the remorseless master of the non kill—murder that does not look like murder.

The Last Surgeon is Palmer’s fifteenth medical thriller. Read more about Palmer and his work on the author’s website.

I’d like to read this because I’m a big fan of the NCIS television show, and this book sounds like it might be similar to some of the stories they feature on the show.
