Yesterday was the last day of the What an Animal II Challenge … and although I did pretty well on this challenge, I fell one book shy of completion.
I read five of six books…my favorites being Garth Stein’s The Art of Racing in the Rain and Gail Caldwell’s memoir Let’s Take the Long Way Home. My least favorite of the bunch was Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel.
You can see all the books I read for the challenge (with links to my reviews) here.

congratulations on all you accomplished, even if you didn’t fully complete the challenge.
My neighborhood book group is reading THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN next month (am I the last one on earth to read it?!?)
Dawn: Oh, I hope you enjoy Garth Stein’s book – it is a wonderful book!! And no, I don’t think you are the last person on earth to read it
What a neat challenge! I am, of course, a HUGE fan of animal books.
I barely managed to pull this challenge out but that won’t slow me down from signing up again.
Allie: There is a part III to the challenge if you are interested
Kristen: LOL – I hear you. I’ve been resisting signing up for part III just because I am trying not to sign up for so many challenges these days. We’ll see if I can resist much longer
