What a brave woman your mother is/was, to leave her country for the sake of a better life for her children, and what a strong role model she must have been for you. What you say is true, how your heart cannot be whole again once you leave home. My husband moved across the country 30 years ago and thinks every day about returning home- sadly there are no employment opportunities there, but we visit once a year. I love this guest post.
