Sadly, No Winner Here…

Well, I feel neglected and unloved…not one person entered the Mother’s Day contest here sponsored by author Jennie Nash. I hope other bloggers participating in this fun contest had better luck than I did in attracting readers to the contest. I would have LOVED to give away a signed copy of this lovely novel…

  1. Don’t feel bad. I only got one entry!

  2. Don’t feel neglected! I’m here, reading almost every day. I’m simply overwhelmed by all the ARCs stacked up around me. Honestly, I see two dozen, not to mention the library books I just had to borrow. 😉

  3. Don’t feel bad! This book has been just a wee bit overexposed this last week, so I have a feeling there were a ton of contests out there.

  4. I agree – don’t feel bad – once I opened my google reader the other day and saw all the similar posts I didn’t really bother with any of them. Like the previous commenter said – a bit overexposed this week. Nothing against your blog, just one of my least favorite marketing approaches for blogs.

I guess having to write an essay turned me off….I barely have enough time to read the books I have, and write posts for my own blog…hope the next contest works better for you.

  5. Sorry, I just didn’t have the time or desire to write the essay. I would have loved to have won the book as well.

Julie P: Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one!

Les: Thanks for your constant readership 🙂 I am not really all that upset – I just felt badly for the author.

A Bookshelf Monstrosity: *nods* I know it gets tough when there is a glut of reviews on the same book – although I thought this contest was unique and might be something my readers would be interested in.

Suzi: I don’t usually like to be “one of the crowd” … but this giveaway was a little different than most. Live and learn!!

Tina AND Teresa: I think a lot of people just didn’t want to write an essay! And the turnaround time for the contest was fast….

  6. Sorry… currently I’m entering very few contests – a combination of moving and seeing how many books I already have (all packed up).

Lori: Oh, no need to apologize!!! I am not really feeling neglected…I just wish I had had ONE entry *laughs*

  7. I think the combination of the short time frame to write the entry essay AND the fact that so many blogs were running this contest may have worked against it. Personally, I was a little overwhelmed by the “blog blast” aspect, but I do agree that it was an interesting concept for a giveaway – and I DO plan to read the book!

    But I know what you’re saying – I’d feel a bit neglected too :-).

Florinda: I agree with your conclusion! I don’t always agree to do these “blog blasts” but this one was so different I thought it might be fun!

I’m sorry no one entered. I really am behind on blogging…
