September 13 -17, 2010
Can it really be that time again? Yup, it is. Book Blogger Appreciation Week will be here before we know it. This year there are different rules for registration and voting. To see them all, visit this post on the BBAW dedicated blog.
The most significant change from 2009 to 2010 is that to be considered for an award this year, bloggers must announce their intent to register by publishing a post on their blog highlighting and linking to five past posts they feel distinguish their blog in their chosen niche. There are several niche categories from which to chose – but I’ve decided to stay in the category where I have received nominations in the past: Best Literary Fiction blog. Three of the five linked posts must be reviews, recommendations, or analyses of a specific title; 2 posts are up to the nominated blogger. Please note this clarification: “By registering, you are not saying that you think you have the best blog, or anything like that. It’s simply registration into a particular category.“
After much consideration, here are the posts which I think best typify my blog in the category of literary fiction:
- The Passport – Book Review
- The Children’s Book – Book Review
- The Lizard Cage – Book Review
- Tinkers – Book Review
- Guest Post: Author Ru Freeman

We are also invited to register in a featured category: Best Written Book Blog, Best Author Interviews, or Best New Book Blog. Since I don’t do author interviews, and I am not new to the book blogger world, that leaves Best Written Book Blog. In this category bloggers are asked to submit 3 reviews, recommendations, or analyses of a specific title; 2 are up to the nominated blogger. Here are my selections:

Good luck, Wendy!
I still think there should be a Cutest Dog of Blogger category, but since there isn’t, and you are left only with choices for writing :–), I wish you the best of luck!
Good luck! I’m glad that I don’t have to be up against you this year!
Thanks, Kathy!
Rhapsody: LOL – you are too kind (I told Raven what you said…she wagged her tail!). Thank you!
Kristen: LOL – I was just thinking that I’m glad I don’t have to be up against YOU this year!
Good luck to you Wendy!
Thank you, Amanda
