Update: Kilah’s Quilt

Some of you may remember this post about little Kilah and how the quilt community is coming together to make her a quilt.

First of all – an update on Kilah (you can follow her progress on this dedicated blog):

Despite her severe injuries, Kilah is fighting back. She is getting therapy and is making excellent progress. Just today, news was posted that Kilah’s CT scan came back clear! She is holding her head up and communicating basic needs. This is excellent news. Visit the dedicated blog to learn more about how you can support Kilah’s recovery.

Today I checked out the Flickr set of all of Kilah’s blocks for the beautiful quilt which Karen is spearheading. My throat tightened and tears pricked my eyes. The love in this quilt will be a truly healing effort for Kilah. I am so glad I was able to be a part of it.
